My day to day work is helping headteachers to achieve their goals and vision.

This includes:

• Coaching and professional 1:1 support for headteachers, senior and middle leaders.

• Support for senior leadership teams, e.g. team development, facilitating strategic thinking, working on joint projects.
  

A personal passion:

For disadvantaged pupils, achieving academic excellence can be like completing an obstacle course whilst running up a mountain.  Frustratingly, we have plenty of evidence of what will level the playing field.  Unfortunately, the solutions are as complex as the problem and require hard work and a long-term approach.  If you want to make a commitment to improving the life chances of disadvantaged pupils...

Services include:

• Create your own leadership programme: This can be for a single school, a group of schools or MAT. From short training courses to year-long development programmes, I can work with you to design a bespoke package of training for leaders. If you are based within 80 miles of Scarborough, this can be face-to-face training.
  
  
• Invest in each unique leader - When all the team is operating at their best, the extraordinary is possible. As a headteacher, no matter how hard you work, you are just one person, with one brain, one finite capacity to think, and one pair of hands and you are dependent on having a strong group of people around you to help you achieve your goals and vision. Coaching can help your team to better know themselves as leaders, identify how they can think and act differently to increase their impact, unpack specific challenges, and grow and thrive in a way that no other intervention achieves.
  
  
• Leadership support: Add in the extra capacity you need at a leadership level to help you achieve goals, e.g. facilitation of visioning, problem solving and action planning; data analysis and review; regular, evaluative conversations to keep plans on track; school improvement partnership.
